The Syn-R1 electrode housing and spring, lit by a sweep of blue light
Products

Syn-R1.

One contact mechanism, built in two specifications. Everything a lab or department needs before ordering.

Editions

Same electrode. Different job.

Research labs and clinical departments have different requirements for materials, certification and supply, so the same contact mechanism is built in two specifications.

Available now

Syn-R1 research edition

Research-grade materials, supplied to early-adopter labs for research use only. This is the edition being validated in labs now.

  • Passive, drop-in, 1.5 mm DIN touchproof connector
  • Reusable, research-grade construction
  • Straight, wavy, curly, coily and afro-textured hair, braids included
  • Research use only, not a certified medical device
  • Single units or full 10-20 sets, priced on request
In development

Syn-R1 clinical edition

The same design and contact mechanism, built in medical-grade materials for use in clinical EEG once certified. Class I CE and UKCA marking is in progress, with FDA Class II to follow.

  • Identical form factor and connector to the research edition
  • Medical-grade materials and clinical supply chain
  • Single-patient, single-use. Supplied sterile-clean and disposed of after one recording

The design

Place, twist, gel.

The tip works through the hair to meet the scalp, so there is no braiding, parting or extra gel to bridge a gap. Setup is faster on every participant.

It behaves like a standard cup or disc electrode in your cap and amplifier.

In short

A passive electrode, in a familiar footprint.

Black housing, compliant tip, standard 1.5 mm DIN touchproof connector. It sits in the cap position you already use and connects to the amplifier you already own.

Reusable, research-grade, and adopted as a swap rather than a project. Request units below.
